Austops have been designing and manufacturing elevating (poptop) roofs for some time now and our range has developed to include the Vauxhall Vivaro, Nissan Primastar, Renault Traffic, Transit Custom and of course both LWB and SWB VW T4’s, T5’s and T6s.

The Austops elevating roof for the VW T5 and T6 range is the only UK manufactured roof to have been awarded TUV certification. But what is TUV certification and what assurance does it give you?

Austops make high quality elevating roofs for the SWB Transit Custom, pre 2014 Vauxhall Vivaro, Nissan Primastar and Renault Traffic vans and of course the VW T4, T5 and T6 transporter ranges. We pride ourselves on our ever increasing range and all our roofs are proudly made here in the UK.

It’s early morning; you wake up in your camper and sit up, promptly hitting your head on the roof in the process. You enviously look at your partner who’s still snoring by your side. It’s your turn to make the morning cuppa, so you lean over and put the kettle on and whilst it’s boiling, you consider getting dressed.

Your campervan is sitting there. You love the camperlife and whether it’s a trusty VW T5 or T6, a Transit Custom or a Vivaro, you long to get out and about.

When it comes to camper conversions, every poptop roof manufactured by Austops really is the Best of British. The roof was designed and developed in Britain , it is built in Britain and the vast majority of its component parts are manufactured in Britain too. And to steal the tag line from a German beer commercial, we think it’s ‘probably the best in the world’.

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how wonderful it was to be part of such a vibrant and welcoming event. It was fantastic to see so many attendees exploring the latest in campervan and motorhome innovations, and to have the opportunity to meet so many of you in person.
